About Us!
In 1991, Marilyn Rosenberg, a transplant from Minneapolis to Seattle, started working at Pike Place Market where she was influenced by the community’s vibrant energy. Fifteen years, later she found herself purchasing a house in Everett, due to wanting to pursue equestrian riding in her free time...childhood passion...with her horse, Mojo, who lives on a pasture on Ebey Island. She desired to feel the connection to her community. Shortly after moving to Everett, she found a way to open the doors to Café Zippy, named after her Dalmatian, Zippy. Her mission was to have a safe and creative Community Hub for the youth of Everett.
It’s still flourishing with, Food, Art Gallery, a unique Retail Shop, and a Bottle Shoppe. It's a place to get to know your neighbors.
In 2008, Marilyn discovered she had a rare cancer syndrome, Gardner Syndrome. This led to consciously be aware of the food we eat and how it helps us heal. That brought on a direction of offering more raw vegetarian choices in the café. The ambiance is the same, only healthier!
We’re waiting for you!
